Online Discussion Forum Procedures
After posting your information to the weekly Forum; respond to at least two other students.
In addition to information included in the class syllabus the following will help you get the most out of our Forum postings:
- Create discussion postings off-line in a word processing document such as Word, then use the spelling and grammar functions to proofread and polish the post. Then copy and paste to the blackboard.
- Try to say as much as you can by using the fewest number of words.
- If you are responding to a post, be sure that your comment is clear.
- If you reference an outside source, please cite it and include the reference at the bottom of the post.
- Derogatory or hostile interactions will not be tolerated.
- Participation in the discussion board is expected.
- Respond to other students' questions in detail.
You will be evaluated on both the substance of your response and the quality of your writing. Errors in spelling or in grammar detract from the quality of your message.
